I began my cycling career began in 2011 after graduating with a master’s degree.  Helped by a handful of very good friends and mentors, I developed a love for mountain bike and cyclocross racing.  I spent 2013 testing the waters of USA professional cyclocross, where I notched multiple top-ten finishes, top twenty in the USA Pro CX rankings, and acquired my first UCI podium. Transitioning from dirt to road racing, I have a particular affinity for time trial.  Moving from category four, to category two during the summer of 2013, spending the 2014 road season testing my legs at select NRC events, with 6th and 8th place finishes at the Cascade Cycling Classic Prologue and Time Trial.

With a background in mountain sports; ski guide, climbing ranger, and wild-land firefighter, I am most at home in the hills riding bikes, skiing, and adventuring. When not racing bikes, I work at Oregon Health & Science University in Portland Oregon, where I retain a part-time practice and faculty position in the family medicine department.
