I started my athletic career at the “ripe old age” of 8, as an inline speed skater. After winning numerous National titles in my inline career I decided to “cool off a bit,” and take to the ice. On my 13th birthday my parents and I arrived in Salt Lake City, in hopes to achieve my Olympic dream. Within two years I was skating with the US National Team, training with the best in the country. The next five years were jammed packed with training, traveling, and racing. In 2010, after numerous accomplishments such as; National Championship titles, World Team member, and two Olympic Trials, one in which I missed qualifying by one second, I decided to retire from skating.

After taking a year off from competitive sports, I felt the urge to go for a bike ride. Cycling had always been one of the most popular cross training tools for speed skating; and I had put in my fair share of hours on the bike, but had never raced. After joining a few local group rides I was urged to try racing, not knowing the addiction that was soon to follow. I raced for the first time the following week, Tuesday Night Worlds Criterium, and was completely hooked. I’ve been racing now for three years and with the support of my family, friends, and amazing team I am very proud of my success and consistent growth, but the best is definitely yet to come!
